Railings and Fences

Railings and fences can range from very simple shapes to quite complex ones, as you can see by looking at the examples in the Revit help system (Figure 11.54). They can be represented as simple walls that follow the sides of a stair flight, balcony, or your garden; you can also create glass frameless railings or quite complex combinations of balusters and posts with combinations of materials. Revit allows most combinations of railings to be built, but this does require a thorough understanding of one of the more complicated systems in Revit.
